Who we are

East Surrey Group of Advanced Motorists is one of two hundred plus local organisations affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
Based in Bletchingley, we serve the Eastern part of Surrey, West Kent and the Northern part of West Sussex.
Many of our members live on the southern edge of Greater London and others come from as far afield as Gloucester, Cornwall and North Wales!

We are a registered charity, No. 1059630 whose aims are:

to improve the driving standards of our members,
to heighten their enjoyment of motoring,

to increase their safety.

All group observers are full members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and have been tested by a Police Class One driver acting as an Institute examiner.

The East Surrey Group of Advanced Motorists will be holding a short course on driving on Tuesdays 10th, 17th & 24th April, 1st May 2012. 8.00 pm to 10 pm. Meetings will be held at Bletchingley Community Centre, High Street, (next to Lawrences Auction House). The Course will be conducted by Phil Stickings, a retired Traffic Officer from City of London Police and now Chief Observer with the Group. The course will cover driving technique, safety, awareness and skills of driving. To book a place call JANNE NOW.

We will now also be running demo/assessments drives on the Saturday 14th April to demonstrate the principles of the course.
